About
Who We Are

The Credit Board was founded by practitioners who spent careers inside credit review — approving loans, writing narratives, owning losses, and answering to examiners.

Why We Built Argus

We built Argus because no tool existed that reflected how rigorous credit review actually works.

Founders

The Practitioners

I.
We have led the function. The founding team has run credit review at large U.S. banks — as heads of credit review and senior credit risk leaders — with careers spanning money-center institutions, regionals, and the firms that review them.
II.
We have owned the conclusions.Approved credits, set rating and allowance methodology, signed the workpapers, and defended the results to examiners, auditors, and boards — and stood behind them the next morning.
III.
We present the work as a team. The Credit Board speaks as a practice, not a set of résumés. Members and engagement clients know who they are working with; the site credits the team.

What We Build

Argus is a continuous credit review system. It reviews the whole loan portfolio, drafts reviews on straightforward files, and routes borderline files to human reviewers through deterministic triggers calibrated to each institution’s own credit policy. It is not a decisioning engine — a named human owns every conclusion.
